About the Course
The three-day Masterclass course in Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
Aimed at Gynaecologists with experience in laparoscopic surgery who wish to develop the skills to perform total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH).

The course provides participants with the opportunity to use the latest technological advances in TLH simulation at the Northern General’s purpose built Medical Education Centre.
Participants who are GMC registered and have appropriate health clearance will spend two days in theatres gaining first-hand experience of performing TLH under supervision and guidance of experienced laparoscopic surgeons based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. For candidates who do not have GMC registration, there will be an opportunity to observe and interact during the live surgical sessions.

The Aim of the Course
By the end of the course, delegates should have acquired the skills necessary to independently perform total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Different variations of the technique with tips and tricks will be demonstrated particularly how to deal with surgery in obese women and those with fibroids and previous abdominal surgeries.
